Update EA 0.60


Hello Hatchlings! It's been a long couple of months working on the game through the holidays and we have finally finished testing the new additions and fixes we've worked hard to implement during that time. This patch features quite a few changes to what was already in the game, fixes to the various systems, new lighting, various improvements to lag across the board, and lots of new additions like the new dialogue and quest system to every level as well as new hidden areas in each to further expand on the Reqweki Lore! So without further ado, lets dive into the notes!

Added new lighting system to prevent flickering in certain levels
Added 7 new hidden areas in various levels throughout the game
Added the 12th story level (the final story level after the Windweaver Cove)
Added 15 new hidden collectibles
Added 12 new NPC's (8 with quests)
Added new quest system to the rest of the game
Added new dialogue system to the rest of the game
Added 5 new Easter eggs hidden in certain levels.
Added Spirit Guide Zal'nirak to every level (will help guide you and provide extended info on the area)
Added Oxanna to 4 levels (excitable kitten spirit that has deeper connections to a certain dragon)
Added Keya to 4 levels (new spirit companion that has ties to another life)
Added Luko to 3 levels (new spirit companion who will help find hidden things)
Added Shyr to 3 levels (new spirit companion who will appear in various seasons)
Added Smoulder to 10 other levels to further follow the Reqweki Lore
Added 3 new ways to progress through the Tower of Amagrodahn
Added 2 new ways to progress through the Ulgarr Swamp
Added a new way to progress through the Ketek Canyon
Added a new way to progress through the Cryoburr Pass
Added a new way to progress through the Traqlium Gate
Added 6 new interactable objects in certain levels
Added 18 new breakable objects throughout the game
Added new backend system to make levels load slightly more smooth
Added 12 new physics objects throughout the game
Added a new customization option for color of Tirsy
Added a new customization option for accessories for Tirsy (A cute little heart for her tail)
Added transition to the Dragon Shrine after the 12th story level
Added 13 new cutscenes to the game
Added a new way to regain lost progress (Trixxa Hatchery pillars use a code each level has)
Added a way to skip the tutorial by activating all pillars in the Trixxa Hatchery
Added footstep audio to Tirsy and the various moving critters
Added audio when Tirsy jumps and glides
Added audio when Tirsy eats to recover health
Added audio to when Tirsy sleeps to save progress

Changed

Changed how the dialogue system works for questing
Changed how the quest log shows each quests' details
Changed how lighting effects certain objects to prevent flickering of their textures
Changed how Tirsy jumps to hopefully prevent odd rotations where she will nose dive into the ground
Changed how shadows work in the Cryoburr Pass
Changed how shadows work in the Tempest Valley
Changed how shadows work in the 12th level
Changed how shadows work in the Dragon Temple
Changed the movement method for the platforms in the Tower of Amagrodahn
Changed the hitbox of the crystals in the Ketek Canyon
Changed how the level skip system works to match the new setup for it
Changed several background processes that were bogging down the game's fps
Changed how interaction with the companions work to use the new dialogue system (no more poofing text!)
Changed how quests with the companions works to use the new quest system
Changed textures on a few structures to better match the region they're in
Changed how mystical rings detect player interaction (should be smoother)
Changed the location of a few collectibles (they were glitching before and unreachable)
Changed the collision of a few objects that previously blocked some hidden areas

Fixed

Fixed a transition error between the Trixxa Hatchery and the Ketek Canyon
Fixed teleportation bringing you to the wrong area of the Cryoburr Pass
Fixed an error with interacting with the water puzzle in the Nikish Depths
Fixed an error with interacting with collectibles in the Tempest Valley
Fixed an error with the cat statue in the Tempest Valley which prevented the gate from opening
Fixed an error where the amount of gems collected would display incorrectly
Fixed an error where collecting gems in the Cryoburr Pass wasn't working properly
Fixed an error when opening a Crystal Gate in the Nikish Depths would crash the game
Fixed an error with Moatia appearing invisible in the Nikish Depths
Fixed an error which made Moatia disappear after reaching her in the Tempest Valley
Fixed invisible walls that prevented certain platforming that was key to the Ulgarr Swamp
Fixed an issue that made the game crash when jumping too quickly
Fixed an issue that caused Tirsy's customization to revert to the default in the Windweaver Cove
Fixed an issue that made Smoulder flicker in the Tower of Amagrodahn
Fixed an issue that made Chippy display the incorrect name during dialogue
Fixed an issue that made Ippa display the incorrect name during dialogue
Fixed an issue where Zal'nirak would show as Moatia instead of himself
Fixed a transparency issue with certain objects that would make them flicker
Fixed a problem with certain physic objects which previously made them yeet to space
Fixed the weight of certain physic objects to allow buoyancy when pushed into water
Fixed some rubberbanding during platforming in the Tempest Valley
Fixed the element of ice not being granted to the player in the Tower of Amagrodahn (should get it now when you are supposed to!)
Fixed the element of earth not being granted to the player in the Nikish Depths
Fixed the element of fire not lighting the beacons in the Windweaver Cove
Fixed an error which made the Cryoburr Pass transfer the player back to the Ketek Canyon instead of the Catacombs
Fixed an error which made companions' text never appear during dialogue
Fixed an error where picking the "goodbye" option in dialogue would only display message 1
Fixed a cutscene that wasn't activating in the beginning of the Cryoburr Pass
Fixed a cutscene that wasn't activating in the Nikish Depths
Fixed audio glitches in various levels that was previously causing a crackling sound
Fixed audio in the Nikish Depths not working
Fixed audio in the Windweaver Cove not working
Fixed missing platforms in the Tempest Valley
Fixed missing earth element triggers in various levels
Fixed the portals not working in the Dragon Temple
Fixed the Hall of Heroes not showing the names of those who backed the game early
Fixed the paintings in the Dragon Temple not showing a texture
Fixed the breakables in the Dragon Temple to actually be breakable
Fixed an error which caused Tirsy to be unable to jump in the Dragon Temple

This update features a lot of new things and changes, and with that we have hopefully tested out all problems and fixed them. There shouldn't be any major issues with this one anymore. So welcome to the bigger, better world of Reqweki! It is forever expanding and becoming more alive with each update! Gone are the days of rapidly vanishing dialogue and text as the new system prevents that. Well, that's all for today.
